I ordered this item as a gift and I ordered it in plenty of time. This company sent an e mail to me and said to contact them if I had any questions. When I e mailed this company, my e mail was returned. There was no way to contact them and the item didn't arrive until several WEEKS after the date of celebration so, it was wasted. I tried AGAIN to contact the company and once again my e mail was returned. To me, this company is NOT customer oriented. They give the appearance of being scammers. If you are going to take orders and provide merchandise to the public, then be about your customers. This company is NOT!!!

It came well-packaged and ready to display. The gradient of hue and separation is less than I would have preferred but it remains an appealing visual treat. It includes a syringe and needle without instruction but maybe to draw off air bubbles as they form over time.

After a bad experience with another sand art product, I tried this one and I'm glad I did. It's perfect! Manufactured well with the proper proportions of sand & water & air. And - bonus! - it comes with a syringe for adjustment if needed later along with photos showing proper and improper fills. I highly recommend this one.

For the price it is good. No complaints. The bad reviews on it are because they seem to not understand how to adjust a Sand Painting. The Sand Painting comes with a syringe and a very sharp needle (like a diabetic needle gauge). This is to add or subtract air and water. All high-end Sand Paintings come with this as well. The more expensive ones explain why and how to use the syringe needle.

There are few things you will most likely need to do before it will look like on pictures. It’s all about the balance of water, sand and air. And for that to work, you will need a syringe and push air in or out and possibly some water from one of the tiny two holes provided for that purpose. Otherwise it will look like a big blab of a mess coming down right away or not coming down at all.

This is a really cool piece for a desk, I got the 7 inch one and I like the size of, it's very soothing to watch the sand fall and sparkle. I like how the frame matches nicely with my computer monitor and it's just fight to set on a little shelf like I have it shown in these pics , it makes a nice background for the small shelf , instead of just a picture. This would be a nice gift and the stand it sits in is very sturdy.

I don't remember where I found this website. All I remember is seeing a link to it in some other comment, and thinking "that looks like fun". I clicked the link. The page loaded up that you see right now. And then time sort of stopped. This sand art is a frame by frame animation. Each picture is a few seconds long, and includes about thousand tiny images. The tiny mountain ranges were absolutely hypnotizing. For about two hours, I was just staring at the same picture and waiting for them to move ever so slightly, just like how i would spend hours looking at the video of a bouncing red ball on youtube . It's crazy how something so hypnotizing can be made so simply with some moving sand and frames from an old video camera.

I will say it was wrapped in a lot of foam and arrived in tact. It doesn’t quite work like I wanted. The sand often falls super quick but I read that can be solved by removing or adding bubbles. That’s not my jam. I want something to work as designed right from jump street. We did align the super duper small holes on the sides and got the mountainscape twice (out of a billion tries ). With that said, it’s still pretty cool and my grandson absolutely freakin loves this thing. He sat and turned it for almost an hour and wants to play with it all the time.
So looks like I will be buying more and can’t wait to start a collection of awesome colors.

I was a little worried about this when I purchased it, seeing how I don't have a syringe handy to add more air, and reading some negative reviews. My first few attempts at flipping the sandscape were underwhelming. After reading the instructions online and getting a little more familiar with it, the results we're great. Just be patient and get used to it, and you will have bunch of relaxation with this. Highly recommend.

Sometimes you just need to flip the sandglass and watch the sand fall to escape the reality of working in an office cubicle. It's relaxing to see the sand falling while you're working and a fun conversation piece too. It's glass but because it's round it's easier to handle for smaller hands. Still, I wouldn't let a kid run off with it as it will break if dropped.

My husband and I are enjoying this. We make new sand-scapes everyday. I was prepared to add more air or water with a syringe if needed but mine was perfect just how it came. The base is very light yet is still sturdy enough to keep it standing strong. But I think it was worth getting this one, and in the bigger size. We really like it.

I've wasted so much of my time staring at this thing. It will hypnotize you. Note: you gotta shake it up till the bubbles are tiny, and then give it time for all the sand to settle before flipping it over. That's how you get a nice slow trickle and beautiful mountain ranges.

This is one of the best and cheapest art decor i own. My best friend recommended this to me and I ended off buying one for myself and another for a close friends birthday; its awesome! If you get it right the flow of sand can take more than a day to form and the images you can create are awesome, its quite therapeutic too, ive got into the habit of starting it before work and seeing how good or bad it is when I get home. I dont think you can go wrong with any color, seriously if you like interesting art or gadgets get this

It looks great and helps relax in a busy day. I recommend getting this for your workspace. The sand is subject to the laws of physics regarding air. Too much air and the sand gets 'trapped' and often cannot fall at all. Too little air and the sand free-falls. Get a needle and syringe and add/remove air until you get the balance you desire.

The sand painting works great, my son and I have spent a lot of time flipping it over to see what new patterns it will make. I got the blue one, and the colors are pretty. There is a fair amount of copper glitter in the mix. I didn’t have any difficulty getting the sand to flow, but the rate is different every time. I usually have a more successful flow rate than my son and I think it’s because I flip it faster and more evenly.

No regrets buying this. Calibrating it was a game of adding and removing air until I think I got it right. The only reason I don’t give this 5 stars is because it’s challenging flipping it over and getting all the bubbles spread out evenly across. This is due to the round shape. I have a rectangle one and flipping it is much easier and you get much more consistent beautiful landscapes. I posted pictures of two of the nicer attempts with this round one.

Awesome. I must note the packaging was superb. Absolutely gallery-quality art and packaging. Bravo. Stunning piece that people really enjoy. I bought this one for my Dad and to go on my folks’ coffee table, which is patina bear on its back (a lot less horrible than it sounds, it’s actually quite nice itself as it’s not mass produced but artist made) with a beveled glass top. The round sandscape echoes the mountains of our world here in Alaska and it’s absolutely perfect together- I need to add a photo after I clean up after Christmas morning!

Since this item arrived, I have spent minimum 10 hours in past 72 hours just watching the sand and relaxing. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS- I think it's great that the Creator has you understand the science behind it and add the air yourself. I added extra air in mine which creates a slower falling effect but can produce some incredible designs. As you can see from my photos, even Bob Ross would approve :-p lol
